Another is to use some word that works well with your industry. I was designing a site for a comic book called Haven, and haven.com was taken. We ended up going with www.havencomic.com.

You might also simply change the domain to something more unique about your company. If PetStore.com is taken, you can try for VisitOurPets.com, or something like that. The key is imagination.

If you absolutely must have a specific domain name, remember to check some of the less used domains extensions. (Remember, an extension is the .com or .org, etc.) Some to check include .us, .biz, .info, .ws, .name, .tv. Realtors are typically more comfortable showing clients homes that they are familiar with. A week ago today I was walking the dog, Stacey, pondering about joining Great Expectations Dallas. So, I noticed these Great Expectations Reviews and felt encouraged. They’re for quality and professional singles who know dating doesn’t have to be so frivolous and stupid.

Because I’d never enjoyed or even tolerated whatever it is that my friends and my family so aptly entitled “Dating.” I got it more than anyone should. Day and night people pester, “Are you seeing somebody?” and “You should date!”

“Ugh, and double ugh.” I reply, and playfully so. “Not after that last blind date you set me up on.”

“You’re as ridiculous as you are hilarious,” they deadpan. “How would you know, you haven’t seen Friday Night Magic in a year!”

Thankfully, that’s my partner in crime (she’s the best) hah! Trisha Holland. She offers common sense to my mind to set me straight. People are always there to offer perspective. She made a good point, and I joined.

Back to the point of this post. As I picked from thousands of outfits (hah) and desirable, honest singles for my first singles event with Great Expectations, I acknowledged something deep. For the longest time, I hadn’t held too many literal great expectations for dating and myself in the fun-filled journey of being alive. Single life has its perks, even more so when you get out there and have fun. Holding great expectations works terrifically on a cynics social life.
